TONOW Pommeau no.18 - A good aperitif
Pommeau No 18 is our version of the delicious apple spirit from France.
A good aperitif that combines the strength of Eau de Vie with the sweetness of applesauce. The pommeau has been left in oak barrels to mature the flavors and give the pommeau a nice slightly creamy mouthfeel.
When you pour your Pommeau No 18 into a balloon glass, it is the sweet scent of candied apples that first hits your nose. There are lots of different fruit notes in the taste, which remain in the mouth for a long time. Pommeau No 18 can be used both as a good aperitif on hot summer days or as a small glass with the cheese.

No one knows exactly when Pommeau was invented in France, but it is thought to date back to the 17th century. Even then, the farmers began to mix their freshly squeezed apple juice with their cider eau de vie. Today it is made with Calvados in France, which gives it the special French character.
