Elstar is a delicious sour-sweet apple. The apple is grown professionally throughout Denmark and is a favorite in private gardens. Picked as one of the last apples and picking can extend into late October. It is an apple with a long shelf life.
We have 2000 trees with Elstar, which we pick and must from the beginning of October, when the flavor is at its peak.
The taste of Elstar has fine notes of pineapple, citrus fruit and rhubarb juice, and it is a full-bodied and slightly spicy must that dresses the breakfast table and a piece of toast with tangerine marmalade.
