It was first exhibited at the 5th Assembly of German Pomologists in Naumburg by Hofgartner Richter at Dessau and called it Rother Ananasapfel. Red Pineapple is an early summer apple.
- Vesterhavsmust of Red Pineapple is sweet and perhaps the sweetest of all. The apple sits a little loose on the trees and is picked a little before they are fully ripe and ripens a few days before pressing, so we get the Karatarian and super fine Red Pineapple flavor in the must.
