Sweet Sixteen is a truly unique apple juice; as it ripens in the orchard, we wait for just the right moment. It offers a lovely sweet apple taste with a cherry aftertaste, it’s truly delicious.
Sweet 16 is an American apple variety that a friend gave us 15 years ago. It was a very robust tree that yielded many delicious apples, so we started a larger production. Today, we have about 1,000 Sweet 16 trees in the orchard. The apple is somewhat rustic in appearance, but you won't be disappointed once the juice is bottled.
At one point, we served Vesterhavsmost Sweet 16 to the bar manager of a Michelin restaurant, and he said that Sweet 16 was the closest he had come to a Calvados – without alcohol!
The juice has a beautiful, clear light green-yellowish color. Try Sweet 16 in a cocktail – for example, a Washington Apple: Mix a good American bourbon with TONOW Sweet 16, cranberry juice, and Vesterhavsmost Sweet 16, and serve it ice-cold in a large shot glass with a slice of apple as a garnish.
