- Sweet 16 is an American apple variety that a friend gave us 15 years ago. It was a very robust tree, which produced a lot of lovely apples, and we therefore started a larger production. Today we have around 1,000 trees with Sweet 16 in the plantation. The apple is rough and irregular in appearance, but you will not be cheated when aunt has come in a bottle.
- Sweet Sixteen is a completely unique apple cider, when it ripens in the plantation we go and wait for just the right moment. Here it gets the lovely sweet apple flavor with a cherry aftertaste, it's really delicious.
- We once served Vesterhavsmost Sweet 16 to the bar manager of a Michelin restaurant, and he said that Sweet 16 was the closest he had been to a Calvados – without alcohol!
- The must has a beautiful, clear light greenish-yellow colour. Try Sweet 16 in a cocktail – for example a Washington Apple: Mix a good American bourbon with TONOW Sweet 16, cranberry juice and West Sea must Sweet 16, and serve it ice-cold in a large shot glass with a slice of apple as a garnish.
